The panelists have provided an argument for why the U.S. views racism from through a human rights lens, why international enforcement bodies are diminished in the U.S., and why a human rights framework may help improve current social inequalities and racism. But, what practical policy interventions can be applied to help the citizenry, our leaders, and our systems to develop a universal conceptualization of human rights? Do we simply need to join existing treaties?
